Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology Specialist with FAA in Washington, DC or at the WJHTC, Atlantic City NJ. This position is responsible for support The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) (AJW-B) to minimize the impact of cyber security events or incidents in support of availability and restoration requirements for ATO systems and services. The FAA runs a multi-faceted cybersecurity program to protect the NAS in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute development test procedures, executing system test performance and stability test procedures, and Regression/user acceptance test procedures
- Developing automated tests using Selenium and/or Playwright
- Scripting test tools and test simulators
- Use test simulators such as the Simulation Driver Radar Recorder (SDRR)
Must Haves:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines involving operating systems software, electronics communications analysis and design, digital engineering, RF engineering, test engineering, networking, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, physics or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s Degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience.
- PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
- Must have knowledge of VMware
- Experience with Hyperconverged systems such as Dell EMC VXRail, knowledge of VSAN
Qualifications
- Must have experience maintaining legacy FAA systems, such as IDS.
- Practical experience doing technical work, supporting the form, fit, function of hardware.
- Be knowledgeable with applicable FAA orders, directives, and criteria while designing test procedures, system requirements and evaluations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation, and management skills, written and oral communication skills and analytical skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
